About
Shawn M. Henry · SMH Publishing
I write stories that refuse to stay inside the lines of heaven and hell.
Lilith Unbound started because I kept coming back to the same question: what if the first woman written out of the story wasn’t a footnote, but a force? Not a warning — a rebellion. That question turned into a series, and the series turned into a universe I still haven’t run out of room in.
My work lives at the intersection of the sacred and the subversive. I write for readers who want their fantasy to carry real weight — stories where gods are flawed, darkness has texture, and the outcasts are the ones worth following. I publish independently through SMH Publishing because these are stories I need to tell on my own terms, without anyone softening the edges.
That thread runs underneath everything in the Unbound Chronicles — from Lilith’s exile in the first book to the newest additions to the universe: Sir Jaydee Hanuman, The Queen’s Herald, and Unbound Reflections. Same mythology, different doors in.
If you’re drawn to the shadows at the edge of scripture — welcome. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.
